Our link church in the Ukraine - Lebedin.

This is a church which is being built in the centre of the village, and eventually will seat about 200. At present the congregation is around 30-40, but this is partly because they have been meeting in a very dilapidated building at the far end of the village, which is difficult to reach. They have recently moved into their new church (still unfinished - see photos below) and it was here that Paul and Pam spent some time in July. The new building should be opened in late September 2007. So far they do not have many organisations but they are planning to have youth / children's meetings, a village school and a help centre for those suffering from the effects of drug / alcohol misuse. Pam and Paul were also involved in their chidlren / youth holiday club. A group photograph can be seen below. Sasha (the pastor - photo with wife (Natasha), son (David) and daughter (Gloria) below) does not speak English to any great degree, but it is usually possible to have someone to translate / interpret.
